Typically, when you see any sort or portrait, you think paintbrush and canvas. But not this time. UK-based artist Ian Berry is pushing the limits with his artful, denim portraits of everyday life using only jeans. “Everything you see in my work is denim, nothing else, no paint, nor bleach,” he said. The only thing Berry alters is the shape of the material using good old-fashioned scissors and glue. He uses the adhesive to cut and layer using blue, black, and gray jeans.
