Mount Teide is the highest summit point in Spain and the highest above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic. Not only is it known for its massive size (24,600ft) from its base level, it's the third highest volcano after Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa in Hawaii. Mount Teide is also home to Teide Observatories, one of the world's best.
