Australian born hyperrealist artist, Ron Mueck, is known for his hyperrealistic sculptures and his incredible attention to detail. His life-sized, gigantic human sculptures can take up to two years to complete. The London-based artist creates intimate expressions and aims to faithfully reproduce every minute detail of the human body. “I never made life-size figures because it never seemed to be interesting. We meet life-size people every day,” says Mueck. The large scale sculptures are to create a jarring and disconcertingly visual image.
