Romain Langlois is a self-taught sculpture based in La Côte Martin, France who studied medical books and anatomical charts to grasp a clearer understanding of the human form. His first sculptures were created using only plaster and clay. He then began seeking a more permanent texture like bronze. This metal is now included in all of his nature inspired works of art. Each sculpture features natural objects that surround the earth like bisected rocks, boulders, tree trunks – all looking as though they’re being pulled apart by the bronze substance.
